Follow the developed process to effectively use TVET

Would you like to get involved in TVET, but don't know where to start? In our information hub, we have not only compiled the essential knowledge, but we also want to support companies on their way through TVET and make proper use of the information provided. Therefore, a practical 20-step process has been developed to help companies interested in implementing TVET. It is based on a slightly modified version of the classic performance management cycle, which consists of the phases planning, acting, monitoring and reviewing

How can you make use of the provided TVET knowledge?

Structure of the TVET cycle

Inform & Inspire

In the first part of the cycle, companies can learn about the basics of TVET in their respective countries and how they can participate in the education system. In addition, companies should identify their positive results in participating in TVET and see how other industry peers are already benefiting from participation in the system

Plan & Apply

In the second section private companies learn how to effectively implement TVET and what steps they need to take to upskill their workforce for productivity gains. In the process, companies identify their specific skill needs, seek out appropriate training opportunities, and hire and develop a skilled workforce

Review & Engage

In this section, companies learn to give their TVET activities a reality check. Do they meet future skills requirements or are they already leveraging all the benefits of TVET in an efficient way? By collaborating with other players in the TVET ecosystem, companies learn to take their training initiatives to a whole new leve

How can companies use the TVET Cycle?

The TVET cycle is relevant for both new and experienced TVET companies. While the latter are likely to have already completed a full cycle and could therefore start with the third section or Review & Engage, companies with little to no previous experience with TVET are advised to start with the first and second sections before undertaking the more advanced steps of their experienced counterparts

To complete each step of the cycle, direct links are provided to the appropriate knowledge sections on this website. Under each link, companies will find more information and additional actionable knowledge on how to implement and improve their TVET activities
